Dzongsar Khyentse Chokyi Lodro prophesied that Dilgo Khyentse should build a stupa in each of the eight sacred sites associated with Buddha Sakyamuni's life. In 2010, Rabjam Rinpoche completed their construction and, in 2020 the stupas were restored thanks to our donors.

Stupas are conduits of compassion, wisdom, and the transformative power of the Buddha’s teachings. They offer peace and healing to the world. which is especially vital now, during these times of uncertainty and environmental upheaval.

As we face these challenges, the Eight Stupas for Peace stand as beacons of hope, radiating blessings that can benefit all beings for generations to come.

With Your Support We Will:

  • Build a “butter lamp house” at the site of each stupa so that visitors can make offerings.
  • Install a large, protected statue of the Buddha outside the Sanskisa Stupa that travelers can visit anytime.
  • Construct small guest houses for visitors and teachers and a dining room for the monks.
  • Protect the sites with security walls, adding footpaths and trees around the stupas.
