SPONSOR A CHILD IN NEPAL
Two hundred and forty boys, aged 4 to 14, live in the monastery hostel in Nepal, and are completely cared for by the monastery. Most of them come from remote mountain villages. Shechen provides a perfect opportunity for them to receive an education. They are educated in the Shechen School where they are taught an integrative monastic-secular curriculum.
SPONSOR A GIRL OR WOMAN IN BHUTAN
Support Women in the Dharma! When you sponsor a Shechen nun you give a young woman or girl in Bhutan the opportunity to receive an education and pursue a spiritual life. One hundred and thirty nuns live, practice meditation, and are educated in two Shechen nunneries, a college, and retreat center. At Shechen, women and girls are taught self-respect, independence, and an education equal to that of their male counterparts in Nepal.
