Dilgo Khyentse Fellowship/ Shechen is dedicated to the flourishing of the Tibetan Buddhist spiritual and cultural heritage. In particular, our work fulfills the vision of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche (1910-1991), one of the great luminaries of Tibetan Buddhism, who tirelessly worked to preserve its rich wisdom traditions.

Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

Under the guidance of Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche, we support and educate more than 1,000 monks and nuns and girls and boys in Nepal, Bhutan, and India. Our innovative Shechen School integrates secular education with spiritual training. Shechen Philosophical Colleges produce future teachers and provide in-depth scholarship.

We further support the preservation of Tibet’s spiritual and cultural lineage through our retreat centers and community service. We archive rare Tibetan books, photographs and artwork, and input and publish Tibetan texts. The Tsering Art School revives and teaches authentic Tibetan painting. The Shechen Eco Group works within the community to encourage environmental awareness.
